How Baker College Measures Institutional Effectiveness
Institutional Effectiveness (IE) is a process whereby institutions engage in ongoing self-evaluation in order to measure achievements and outcomes as they relate to the institution’s mission. The overall goal of institutional effectiveness is to determine whether an institution’s schools and departments are addressing the institutional mission.
Baker College has developed and implemented a processes to ensure that planning and evaluation procedures at all levels of the institutions are integrated and research-based. Ongoing evaluation is conducted at the colleges and individual programs, and is documented in annual evaluation/assessment reports in which the goals and outcomes are explicitly aligned with the mission, goals, and the strategic plan that will carry the institution through the next three to five years.
